Yes he outworked Glen Johnson who throws a lot of punches. Hopkins does not. So again, I ask, why would Dawson plan to stop Hopkins from throwing punches?

plain and simple.bernard hopkins has lost disputed fights against guys that are athletic, with handspeed, footwork, and adequate defense(jones jr, taylor,cal).those are all attributes dawson posses.hopkins is not johnson.he does not try to walk you down wear you out.hopkins game is to pick and choose his shots from round 1 to round 12.he's totally different than johnson.
I'll admit i though pav would ko hopkins, simply cause i believed a couple of notions many believed as well. i thought hopkins didn't have the legs to do what he did anymore,as he showed vs winky, and cal. i thought he lost a step.

Highly unlikely those punches would KO Dawson, I understand you prefer Hopkins but I've seen him withstand harder punches without falling? Hopkins can stop him at times from getting range to throw combos, have his left hook and right, but not enough to win a decision over someone quicker with faster handspeed. Who was last fighter similar to Dawson that Hopkins has defeated. And I can't see Dawson losing by decision if Taylor can get 2 decisions over him.

his workrate was good in pavlik fight, not as much in tarver, calzaghe, wright. how would you compare Dawson's workrate, movement to Taylor's? calzaghe been dropped in last 2 fights and ppl still declare he has elite chin, i dont see this being said about any other fighter thats been dropped. i just don't see hopkins winning a decision against someone who throws combos like that.
