What about a great defensively accurate counterpuncher ??
I think what a lot of people are trying to say is that Hopkins is great at neutralizing an opponents best weapon. Dawson is very well rounded and doesn't have a signature punch he relies on, so he's more difficult to game plan for.

I would never count Hopkins out, but I really think Dawson's speed would be tough for Hop. But if anyone can find a way to neutralize Dawson's speed it's Bernard.

Dawson was not impressive against Tarver, Hopkins was. Dawson fights like a less skilled Winky wright, Hopkins would ruin him. They should go for it.

Yes, but Taylor had Emmanuel Stewart in his corner. Manny is experienced enough to quickly evaluate a fighter and recognize their weaknesses. Which is exactly what he did for Taylor's fight with B-Hop.

Nice try, but Pat Burns was Taylor's trainer against BHOP. Both times.

They switched to Manny prior to the Winky fight.

You're absolutely right. I stand corrected.

Hopkins would shut Chads workrate down.

To be honest above 160 Hopkins has looked as good as ever.

That would make sense if workrate was what Dawson used to win fights. It's not.

Furthermore, lowering Dawson's workrate is probably to his advantage. I think if there's a weakness to Chad's game, I wouldn't vote chin, I'd vote stamina.

I think Hopkins would just do like he did to Kelly and shut Dawson down every time Chad tries to get a rhythm going. Chad would look to throw combos and all Bernard would have to do is feint to set Dawson back to square one. He does that, and picks his spots in between all night to earn a decision.

I think Hopkins accurate counters, defense, dirty tactics and movement would pose tons of problems for Dawson.

Also if Johnson could hurt him Hopkins for sure can.
I'm saying that's the only style he's seemed vulnerable to.
