I was trying to think back to something Manny Stewart had said was the key to beating him, and it kept playing in my head at "Outlast him" but that didn't make any sense to me because Hopkins can go all week due to his stellar defense. But what you just said filled in the blank from that memory. They key to beating him isn't "Outlast him" it's "Outwork him".

The old saying is actually true in this case. When you're fighting Bernard, the best defense is a good offense. Keep him from throwing punches and don't get discouraged that you're not hurting him. Don't look for the knockout, settle for a decision.

By throwing punches. I know that's easier said than done. But that, in a nutshell, is the key. If you keep him constantly on the defense, you might be able to edge out a decision. With Bernard, that's all you can hope to do.

I never said Chad WOULD or could do it, but if there's any sorta-legit way to beat B-Hop, it would be to try and outwork him. I take Hopkins with the UD all damn day.

And on top of that, you can't hurt or confuse Hopkins, it all goes back to his defense and his brain.

That's because he wouldn't do ****..! Just standing there like a frustrated Tarver cuz he can't land ****. When he attacks, Hopkins would be out of reach, when he would be wondering how to land a punch, hopkins would be in his face (probably throwing a headbutt or two in there just for good measures).
