Hopkins would school Dawson like he did Pavlik, and probably stop him.

I would like to see this fight!

But I hope Dawson fights Calzaghe instead, because I'd sooner my favorite Joe get him for his legacy. Hopkins had Pavlik, let Joe have Dawson.

his workrate was good in pavlik fight, not as much in tarver, calzaghe, wright. how would you compare Dawson's workrate, movement to Taylor's? calzaghe been dropped in last 2 fights and ppl still declare he has elite chin, i dont see this being said about any other fighter thats been dropped. i just don't see hopkins winning a decision against someone who throws combos like that.

cal comes forward.that's his movement.dawson has better footwork than cal does.workrate?chad dawson beat tarver's ass from round 1 to 12.he's got that **** settled all ready.chin, i agree.he doesn't.but as i said, hopkins is not, i repeat is not johnson.he does not fight like him.so for anyone to bring that fight up is misinformed.

i beg of you, who keep looking at the names and choosing, its a match up of styles.

dawson has alot of qualities that taylor had in his fights with hop, jones, and calzaghe as well.

How could you tell? Tarver didn't do **** the entire fight. I don't think that's a good way to judge dawson's defense.

It's kind of a bad style match-up for Hopkins but you never bet against the Executioner.

Doesn't matter anyway as Bernard says he has no intentions of fighting him. Poor Chad - he'll probably have to keep fighting the people no one else wants to. And he should. Hopkins had to do it; Hagler; Margarito, etc.

                What?

The fact that he got up off the canvas, didn't even look phased, and won both fights should tell you all you need to know about his chin. Jeez.

And for the record, Hopkins would confuse the **** out of Dawson. No way Dawson wins. Hopkins is way too smart.

Taylor fought a lot differently back then and is much more athletic then dawson will ever be. Calzaghe doesn't have great defense but the main different with him is that he's awkward as **** and comes from all angles. Dawson's style is very simple and I just wonder, when bhop takes away his main weapon will dawson be able to adapt to a plan b or c? The only fighter I've ever seen able to adjust to Hopkins was Calzaghe and it wasn't very much. Tarver, Pavlik, Trinidad, Wright, etc. couldn't do **** when their best weapons were neutralized. And that's what bhop does to his opponents- he takes away their best weapon (pavlik/Tarver's 1-2 punch, Trinidads left hook, winky's jab, Calzaghe's workrate (cut it in half), etc.).

Yeah getting dropped doesn't necessarily mean you don't have a great chin. Plenty of fighters that have never been KO'd or considered great chins have been down. Actually probably all of them have been.

Both KD's were flash KD's anyway. Calzaghe has a solid chin, that's a fact.
