Boxing is dying I reckon, but not cos of MMA/UFC. Its cos of PPV, loads of world title belts and **** matches.

It may be less popular in America but in the UK amateur boxing is becoming very popular again, the government has invested money in it to get kids of the streets and many school teach boxercise, Maybe if the US government made a similar investment along with a free view channel showing live fights like ITV does it would help.Comment

I think UFC is competing more with WWE than it is with boxing. It is surely people who like wrestling who will move over to MMA rather than boxing fans. I've watched a couple of UFC cards and just find it boring.
WWE - For Kids
UFC - For Kids who've hit puberty
Boxing - For Kids who have grown upComment

UFC & Boxing are here to stay.
Even though I prefer love boxing more, MMA is a fantastic sport to watch. It gives people their money's worth more often than boxing.Comment

I don't think boxing will die but what is going on in boxing today is that there are too many belts, too much old talent, we need some special talent in the sport. We need some new Mike Tysons, Mayweathers, Jones, or just plain boxers that are willing to fight each other without protecting their belts. Boxing needs a makeoverComment

As long as people like us are around we will teach our sons and they will teach their sons. Even with MMA the best part of it is the stand up. Anyone who watches this sport loves the stand up....LeftyComment

ESPNews even does UFC weigh-ins...maybe you don't get that channel? What UFC PPV's highlights are shown on ESPN? I've seen Kimbo Slice and the Rampage PPV's, outside of that nothing. Dana is on to talk his sports biggest fight, not a big deal. On the other hand nearly every boxing PPV usually makes Sportscenter. Rome covers every major boxing fight with interviews and having camera men follow the fighter during his daily life. Boxing is on ESPN much more than MMA.Comment
