toney would be competitive with anyone in the world, no one would be able to stop him.....maybe the klitschko's or other elite heavys (if you can call them that) could UD this version of him

really face it, the only man who beat james without a ton of trouble was roy jones jr, and maybe sam peter in the second fight, but toney was robbed in the first fight

He lost twice to Montell Griffin a guy Roy blew out in one round
he also lost against Drake Thadzi who ???
and he lost twice to Samuel Peter who was dominated by Klitschko.

His only decent victory was against Holyfield
who lost his last fight to Chris Byrd and had only won two
of his last seven fights.

Great thread...Toney might be old but hes still one of the best boxers. I've always been a big fan of his style and his power is underrated.

I believe Michael Nunn was either #1 or #2 p4p when Toney knocked him out.

He then defended the title he won 5 times in the next 11 months.

He was also a significant underdog to an Iran Barkley who was coming off of 2 victories over Thomas Hearns. Toney went ahead and knocked him out.
