**** man, i cant talk **** about toney no more, if he were more motivated and in shape, he would be competing today and he in my opinion wouldve beaten the crap outta the ***** calzgayshe at same weight

Yeah, it's a shame that he couldn't keep himself in shape. He could have been one of the greatest. It also pisses me off that he took roids It ruined his ass whoopin he put on Ruiz. That really tarnished his legacy.

By the was Toney robbed Mike McCallum twice

i thought McCallum won the 2nd the first could of been a draw but Toney had a GREAT last round that probably swung it for him but there was nothing in those fights they could of gone either way

there are some fights that are almost impossible to score and these fights were that kinda fights

At least Toney had the sack to fight a prime McCallum at middleweight.

RJJ waited until he was old and washed up and then fought him at LHW where he would have every advantage.

from what ive seen on toney in interviews etc he seems a cool guy

he was p4p #1, he beat nunn, barkely, holyfield, McCallum, and was robbed against montell griffin

and hes fought jones, rahman, peter, ruiz.......

the guys a freaking legend

he also beat jirov but toney shouldnt compete at heavyweight, he should have stayed at cruiserweight cause he never really did anything noteworthy at heavy but beat grandpa evander at heavy but if he stayed a cruiser or light heavy, he would be next in line to get robbed by calzaghe in another bad decision(BHop) for calslappy where calslappy calls toney a rascist for over and over

he got slightly hurt by Julian Jackson but who did'nt get hurt by Jackson and he came back and put a beat down on Jackson the guy had an awesome chin he is one of my fav fighters of all time

McCallum was one tough SOB aswell he had real tough hard fight with Bomber Graham

I think the Jirov win was his second best win IMO after Nunn. Jirov was undefeated and he had a few of those major titles at cruiser weight. I remember watching him come off of the Olympics and i just knew that he would be dominate. He was a southpaw, an excellent body puncher and very exciting. The Toney fight took it all from him, and he was never the same again. Its just like he had a mental block. He had Joe Mesi hurt bad about 4 times during the fight and would be winning whenever ht let his hands go, but he didn't believe in himself so he was just passive.

whenever i thought about toney pre heavyweight , i first thought maybe one of the best potentially, now i just think hes a fat slob journeyman who talks alot of **** at heavyweight

I believe Toney when he says that they were to recover from injuries. Steroids don't make you stronger, they allow you to work out harder and more often. Fat Toney just didn't have the body of a guy taking advantage of that.
