Toney was a great fighter but i dont think he showed much adaptability when fighters were able to get through his shell like defence ,he was a great counter puncher and he is one of toughest SOB in Boxing i think that gets overlooked when people talk about Toney

i personally feel Hopkins is more old school than Toney though and he was a more adaptable and a smarter fighter better conditioned fighter but you gotta love Toney's counter punching style it was,is awesome

Great thread...Toney might be old but hes still one of the best boxers. I've always been a big fan of his style and his power is underrated.

he also lost against Drake Thadzi who ???
and he lost twice to Samuel Peter who was dominated by Klitschko.

His only decent victory was against Holyfield
who lost his last fight to Chris Byrd and had only won two
of his last seven fights.

I agree. And he's a **** to alot of his fans. I saw him cussing out some little kids a couple of years ago at Wild Card Gym in Hollywood because they asked his fat ass for an autograph. Fat ass version of Zab Judah. Was good for only a couple of years, hasn't really beat anyone, talks alot of **** that he can't back up, and pretends to still be one of the best.
