Exactly..no one knows who'd win...they were both better back a- ways, but neither were as crafty, and experienced as now...

Hopkins has always been crafty and in his PRIME his workrate was on ubelievable infact that is probably one of the major reasons he is still able to last 12 rounds today albeit just about

i hear Ricky say Hopkins was not as slick in his prime,a question for you then Ricky when have you seen Hopkins take a solid shot post Mercado 1,2 ?thats right you dont have an answer cause he does not take solid shots and never really has post Mercado 1,2 where he changed his style and become more patient defensive etc,by contrast Calzaghe has been hit solidly by Eubank,Reid,Jones,Hopkins,Kessler,Mitchell and guess what mostly by the right hand and whats Hopkins best punch ?the right hand and even more so against Southpaws all the Southpaws he has fought he landed his right hands over and over again

Hopkins was also an underrated puncher to especially with that laser like right hand and left hooks to the body he is also very good inside and very dirty but the thing is he frustrates oponents with that dirty infighting and he gets them outta their game plan its not always pretty IE Keith Holmes but its effective

Hopkins is to smart for the wide open Calzaghe and a Hopkins that can work at the pace Nard used to be able to would beat Calzaghe by UD imo
            my god stop ****ing crying.

hopkins looked as good as he ever has against pavlik IMO

I figure the more offensive Hopkins who beat up Johnson would leave himself open to more flurries by Calzaghe. The guy who was in the ring against Trinidad, he has the best shot, and I'd pick him to win.

                who is crying son ?

i just think Hopkins would deal with Calzaghe with ease in his prime

he beat Pavlik cause Pavlik did not make it a hot pace like expected he was still hanging on at the end cause he was fatigued and that is why Calzaghe beat him

You post that Tito is Hopkins best win, yet you call me ******?

Tito was a welterweight, not a middleweight. I don't give a **** if he KO'd William Joppy, cos the guy is hardly an ATG now is he?

Hopkins beat Tarver, which nobody thought he could do.

He then beat Pavlik more recently, which nobody thought he could do.

They are, by far, his two biggest wins, meaning that he was at his best at this time.

If that doesn't agree with your nonsensical opinion then I'm sorry, but you always were an idiot and a **** poster anyway, I don't know why I expected anything to have changed.

Glen Johnson did not land **** on Hopkins he got schooled and Hopkins was so offensive cause he was beating the crap outta Johnson and had nothing to worry about

what did Johnson land flush on Hopkins ?

Hopkins was always an excellent defensive fighter who rarely took clean shots. He just threw far more then. The 97-99 version of Hops...ugh. Only fighter who I pick against him over the past 15 years is a prime Roy.
