Hopkins doesn't deserve a rematch with Calzaghe, he talked **** that wasn't acceptable and couldn't walk the walk when it came down to it.

problem is, hopkins feels he really won the first fight, as do many others....if calzaghe *****'s out on a rematch, it stings a lot less for hopkins, than it would for say a roy jones.......

The first fight was actually a split decision. Jerry Roth scored it 116-112 for Hopkins.

You're right though, UD doesn't mean it wasn't close (watch Dawson-Johnson) and sometimes SD doesn't mean it was close (watch Diaz-Katsidis or Mijares-Munoz).

            Ok fine I'll revise...

There are several fights that were scored as a UD, even though a large number of people scored it for the guy that lost.

Bottom line is this fight needs to be made. It was a close fight, and I gave the nod to hopkins. however, I don't discredit those that scored it for joe... that is why there needs to be a rematch.

Joe won a split d against the LHW CHAMPION, in his first fight in America..no need for a rematch really.

He won..one judge was biased...oh well..so are you.

I don't think that's how most people scored the fight.

No can do, I have no TV, only a radio, so that's all I can score fights by
check your facts....the first fight was a SD, the second was a UD w/ jermaine winning 7-5 each card. regardless, i thought jermaine did better the second time than he did the first, i honsetly thought the second fight could've gone either way, but the first hopkins won....

no tv? that's sad....the way commentators like harold lederman, score fights, i'd be sad for anybody who had to rely on their accounts of what went down. let me guess, you must think calzaghe is superman huh? against roy jones, what you heard is probably right, but in closer fights like hopkins-taylor I & II, and hopkins-calzaghe, its better to watch w/ your own eyes. you might've been led to believe calzaghe beat the holy **** outta hopkins by listening to commentators, or reading punch stat numbers. but when you're blessed w/ the ability to see which punches actually land, who throws what, and which are actually effective, believe me, it makes a world of difference. you can't convict anybody on hearsay or second hand information!
