problem is, hopkins feels he really won the first fight, as do many others....if calzaghe *****'s out on a rematch, it stings a lot less for hopkins, than it would for say a roy jones.......

Hopkins fought very scared in that fight. Holding and not throwing. and retreating. no need to fight em again. Hopkins can go out knowing he beat Pav, good for him.

a few of the rounds your boy won, was because he threw maybe sixty punches w/ like 25 hitting arms and shoulders.......2 punches in the face beats that. bottom line, there were about 4 rounds that you and i would BOTH agree whould've went to joe, and they were ALL based solely on hopkins inactivity, than joe's effectiveness.....but its ridiculous to say joe won 8 or more rounds that fight, which is what he would've had to do to win the way those judges scored the fight......

check your facts....the first fight was a SD, the second was a UD w/ jermaine winning 7-5 each card. regardless, i thought jermaine did better the second time than he did the first, i honsetly thought the second fight could've gone either way, but the first hopkins won....

no tv? that's sad....the way commentators like harold lederman, score fights, i'd be sad for anybody who had to rely on their accounts of what went down. let me guess, you must think calzaghe is superman huh? against roy jones, what you heard is probably right, but in closer fights like hopkins-taylor I & II, and hopkins-calzaghe, its better to watch w/ your own eyes. you might've been led to believe calzaghe beat the holy **** outta hopkins by listening to commentators, or reading punch stat numbers. but when you're blessed w/ the ability to see which punches actually land, who throws what, and which are actually effective, believe me, it makes a world of difference. you can't convict anybody on hearsay or second hand information!

I disagree. The radio commentators always back up their opinions with more opinions, and before telling you something they say "I guarantee" and "mark my words". I used to spend hours actually watching boxing, but then some Flawless guy told me about a site called boxrec, so now I just check that instead. Reading the result of Hagler-Hearns was pretty exciting!

I want to see the rematch, simply because of how good Hops looked against Pavlik. If you ask me, he'd probably let his hands go a lot more in this fight and he could sincerely pull off an upset.

Joe isnt my boy. I was rooting for Hopkins the WHOLE fight and thought he sounded like an idiot in the post fight interview claiming he put on a clinic..
