I have only seen highlights of the Taylor fight.

Didn't Taylor carry Lacy a bit? I know they are good friends.

Still Jones should get credit for sure. He DID beat a top 10-15 SMW albeit at 175. Pretty good for a 40 year old.

Personally I would rather that he'd hang'em up but maybe that's just me.

Taylor clearly beat Lacy... but he did not BEAT UP Lacy... not like that. and that fight was only 9 months ago...

I mean Roy didnt do that to prince badi, hanshaw or Tito either... and Id put Lacy over those 3 fighters also...

Lacy isnt anything to brag about on your resume at this point... but the way in which he DID win... does deserve some bragging rights.

no i didnt say that... but he performed better than an A- fighter did against the same opponent only 9 months apart... you shouldnt just completely dismiss it.. or give ZERO credit for it.

If I was to give RJJ credit on his win over Lacy, I wouldn't compare it to how badly another fight beat Lacy.

Didn't see all of the fight, managed to see most of it though. Roy did look good and I'll give him credit. But giving RJJ a lot of credit for beating Lacy is overshadowed by the fact of how RJJ was and how bad Lacy is.

If you can see where I'm coming from on the last point.

hes done nothing but squeak by his competition the last 5 years... just doing enough to win.. just enough to outpoint... and then he comes out and completely dismantles lacy... its not that roy shouldnt of beaten him... but he shouldnt of beaten him like that... not THIS roy at least... and i guess thats my point..

Dan Birmingham thought Roy did... he said Joe did a number on him but at the end of the rounds he was always coming back talkin **** saying his power is **** he cant hurt me.... he said that Roy was actually hurting Lacy, numerous times Roy had him hurt and almost ready to go...

Joe landed a lot more punches, but Id say Roy actually hurt Lacy more...

obviously Joe beat a much more fresher version... but im just answerin the question
