Last night was great, I loved every minute of the fight.
Calzaghe made himself look like a fool last night.

Holy! don't cry dude. You're not realizing that this was not some young prospect that Jones was fighting. Last night was Joe's last fight so he should be able to showboat if he wants. Just because you and a few other ignorant people think that Joe's never done anything I know he's had a tough career.everybody keeps saying this, but they are missing the point...
Roy Jones Jr.'s career was buried last night. When you bury a former great, you should do it with respect. You don't take a leak of the casket. Its the right thing to do, thats why Lampley was getting tired of joe's antics.Comment

Surely no different to Roy putting his hands behind his back against Glen Kelly? Would Roy have done that in front of Michael Spinks? People in glass houses, etc.I would consider myself a Calzaghe fan but his actions in the ring last night were petulant to say the least. Keeping his hands down, backing up from Roy, walking away from him and taunting him when he knew Roy's stamina was done. If Joe was as good as his antics would lead you to believe he should have knocked out or stopped Jones.
Ok, I could understand Joe acting like this with a prime Roy or if Roy was not exhausted, but to me this reaked of over zealousness, arrogance and disrespect.
Roy was the more dignified of the two fighters. Fair enough he didn't have the cardio requirements, but he fought a great fight. Even with his eye badly cut he soldiered on like the true warrior he is.
That being said, I don't like that sort of thing. I didn't like it when Roy did it against Kelly. I didn't like it when Ali did it against Bob Foster. I didn't like it when Larry Holmes did it against Ali, and I didn't like it when Joe did it last night. Your opponent deserves respect, even if he's out of his depth.Comment

At the end of round 1 Jones couldnt have taunted Roy more if he'd tried. "You been on the floor, and your ass is mine" was written allover jones' face.He was a ****y, arrogant prick!! I cant stand him even more after last night. I hope he doesn't retire and Dawson knocks him the fuck out.
I'd absolutely love for him to have his hands down smiling in Dawsons face and then get cleaned out. Nothing would make me happier.
Another thing, Joe has got BETTER in the past three years as he has fought better opponents. If Joe had been fighting the likes of Hopkins and RJJ 5/8 years ago are you seriously telling me Joe would have had his ass kicked? 5/8 years ago Joe still had 2 good hands and he would have been right up there with these guys in ANY era.
Im glad you hate Calzaghe, because you will never get it out of your system, just like Hopkins.Comment

that was burying a washed up all time great.
haha roy your can't beat me!!! i'm doing what i'm suppose to do!!! i'm a real tough man as i beat up a guy who was koed by glen johnson 5 years ago!!! hahayou can't hit me roy!!! because you havn't been ranked in the top p4p in years!! haha
thats not cool.
Calzaghe won, but why rub it in? he was suppose to according the majority. Is beating up 40 old washed up Jones really that great? If so, Johnson beat 35 year old one, maybe he should get more credit then.Comment
