Joe dominated, there was no need to take the piss. Roy has been nothing but respectful to Joe during the lead up to this fight and the aftermath of the fight.
They both were respectfull before and after the fight.

Haha! True. Hopefully Joe will retire. Dawson will have 2/3 big fights and make a big name for himself then Joe will fight him at the end of 2009 or early 2010.

I want to like Joe but just cant. He's so ****ing ****y. Until he beats somebody of note i'm not gonna jump on his **** the way alot of people have.

All Calzaghe fans must know that Hopkins or Jones would have kicked Joe's ass 5 years ago.

Jones Jr took the piss out of fighters for years, i remember him putting both hands behind his back just before delivering the ko.

He even played competetive basketball on the same day as a title defence. I dont think you can get much more disrespectfull and arrogant than that.
So maybe we shouldnt feel too sorry for him.

I personally dont like to see it, but its just a case of someone getting a bit of their own medicine.

Calzaghe isn't that type of fighter, his never done it before. Joe said he has huge respect for Roy but he was taking the piss out of an old shot to bits Roy in the fight!

Am glad Roy saw the funny side of it and showed dignity at the end to say that the better man won but i thought Joe made a himself look like a ****head!

Before the fight, RJ seemed too relaxed which was an indication that he was trying to conserve energy for a long fight.

In the past, RJ would be pumped up and hyper.

But he stood in there and fought back til the end.

I think Joe could've ended it much sooner, though.

Seeing how RJ was already exhausted, couldn't see well, and couldn't catch Joe cleanly, Joe showed RJ respect by letting him stay in the fight.

Joe is a hell of a champion and a stamina freak. No doubt one of UK's best.

I just wish the fight couldn't happened while they were both in their primes.

            It probably would've shattered records.

Jones accomplished what he had prepared for his entire career, and is a HOF'er, but he wanted to have more cake and eat it too by trying to duck father time.

Cong**** to Joe and his fans.

Look we all know Roy did it to fighters before. That doesn't make Joe's antics any more appealing. Roy was f****d he wasn't going to win the fight, rather than going about his business and winning in a gracious way, Joe mocked Roy.

Let's not forget how a big of an icon Roy is/was and this may well have been his last fight, Joe prancing around like that took the sheen of the end to an amazing career.

Fighters as good as Joe should be gracious in their victories.
Well said. Roy is a stale, old man, that is a fraction of his former self. He shouldn't have taken this fight to begin with, which is why I didn't buy it.

I hear Calzaghe's next fight will be against adolescent boys, now that he's through with old men & UK's **** fighters.

It's not that I like it but I don't think Calzaghe deserves the criticism some people are directing towards him, I doubt we'd be hearing the same thing if Jones did the same thing to Calzaghe. We didn't hear anything about Hopkins' showboating when he was beating up Pavlik.

Exactly, Roy was the more dignified. Joe was clearly the better fighter and I am sitll a big fan of his, but he left a sour taste with the way he conducted himself in the ring.

It's because it's out of character for Joe, I'm pissed off from a Calzaghe fan's perspective not a Roy's fan perspective. I thought before the fight that Joe had a lot of respect for Roy, but evidently he doesn't.
