many people have said that Johnson was robbed in his fights with Woods. no, not just Americans said that either. its just that Woods vs Johnson was the same day as Toney vs. Peter 1, so everyone was obsessed with that robbery instead and didnt give that other one much attention.

The fight that was called a draw was a robbery without doubt, the last fight was close, i was there and even rewatched it later and still had Johnson winning it just but it was no robbery.

Whether Joe gains anything by fighting Chad or whether Chad deserves a fight with Joe is irrelevant to me as a fight fan. All I know is that a Calzaghe-Dawson fight would be far more competitive and more exciting than what went down last night. And unless Bernard is willing to let his hands go, I also don't want a Calzaghe-Hopkins II, for sure not as a PPV.

So Calzaghe gets no respect for beating Jones and Hopkins
because they are both 40 plus but Dawson's now the man
because he beat Tarver and Johnson who are both also 40 plus.

i dunno, imo it would at lease silence any real objectional fan that may be looking for another kessler type win out of joe to really solidify his greatness. it would leave little doubt with a win. dawson is on or close to the top 10 p4p list depending on who you talk to. is young, and prime. it would be a great win. of course the haters will never be happy, but i can see how some want just a little more from him, and this would do it imo.
