Time to take your tablets methinks!

American hype job (Lacy) - check
World title unification against who is now the best SMW in the world (Kessler) - check
Best current american fighter between 160-175 (Hopkins) - check
All time great (Jones) - check

Calzaghe has nothing left to prove - let it go! Dawson needs to deal with unfinished business against Diaconu, let alone prove himself against fighters who could quite conceivably beat him (Kessler, Hopkins) before he's even in a position to mention Calzaghe's name.

I think the rationale behind Kellermen suggesting Calzaghe look towards Dawson as an opponent has to do with the fact that Joe is clearly in the twilight of his career, finally has some American recognition after solid wins over past-greats Hopkins and Jones, and now has gone back to the, 'I'll have to talk to my family and team..' when asked if he'll fight on. Calzaghe has little left to prove. The supper middleweight division was his, he's taken on two veteran legends at light heavy and beaten them- so why fight on? That's the point; if Calzaghe intends to fight on, who is a worthy opponent?

What other name seems to make sense for Joe to try and add to his resume and possibly go out on? There's not much at light heavyweight he could do and fighting a blown up middleweight isn't going to make any sense....so the subject of Chad Dawson comes not from the fact that Joe MUST fight him, but more from the reasoning of Dawson being the only name out there- a young, undefeated champion who is the strongest in the division- that Joe Calzaghe should even muster up the desire to fight for one last time.

I mean, really, he could walk away now...there's nothing left to prove. If, for whatever reason he doesn't, there aren't many names out there that would seem to be worthy of an undefeated boxer with heaps of respect fighting for his final hooray. Who else OTHER than Dawson can you muster up? Not much is out there for him, this is more of a...well...Dawson is the only person we could look back and say, 'what if..' about should Calzaghe retire.

Calzaghe has never beat a single legend in their prime.

Calzaghe is garbage.. Roy and Hopkins are past their prime and still knocked Calzaghe on his ass in the first round.. they are just old. The simple fact is unlike other legends Calzaghe has never in his career beat a legend in their prime.

Hopkins is old.. Dawson would beat him. Dawson is undefeated and the best pound for pound in the world. Has already beat Johnson and Tarver. Paul Williams is also a great and feared fighter. Neither Calzaghe or Abraham are calling them out.

Calzaghe should be calling out Paul Williams?

Calzaghe beat Roy convincingly. Take nothing from that. But you will not find one person who thought Roy could beat Dawson. Dawson has always been the biggest threat at LHW, and some would say has always been the TRUE LHW Champ due to actual LHW fights. But Dawson will have to get a few big fights in order to attract Calzaghe. Chad needs to fight Bernard or Roy or Kessler to get more name recognition.
