    And one final point:

If Jones wasn't the pound for pound best from 1994 to 2003, then who was?

I just love it how people bring up Richard Frazier as if he is representative of Roy's level of competition at 175. Look at the guys Roy fought either side of Frazier - McCallum, Griffin, Hill, Del Valle, Johnson, Telesco, Hall, Harding, Harmon, Gonzalez, Woods - all top contenders and most were world champions at various points in their career.

After this run of competition ROy moved up to HW and fought a legitimate world champion then moved back down and fought and beat the new man at 175. After that he gets KTFO in a rematch many other fighters would not have given.

Surely after this defeat Jones the ducking ***** would have gotten in there with several soft opponents right? Wrong - he gets in there with Glen Johnson - one of the most avoided men in the division.

Now, depsite being well past it, Jones is getting in the ring with the Ring 175 pound champ. I have not even included anything about Jones' ultra-impressive runs at 160 and 168 during which he defeated Hopkins and Toney. But yeah, what a pathetic, bum fighting ducking mutha***a he was.

They should come to his country and take that crown.

At one point as light-heavyweight champ, Jones held these belts simultaneously:
        WBC light heavyweight title ~
~ WBA light heavyweight title ~
~ IBF light heavyweight title ~
~ IBO light heavyweight title ~
~ World Boxing Foundation light heavyweight title ~
~ International Boxing Association light heavyweight title ~
        NBA Light Heavyweight Title

The only belt he didn't have was the WBO, which was held by Darius Michaelzcewski, another fighter who never competed outside of his home turf. He was eventually upended by Julio Gonzalez, whom Jones handled with little difficulty.

I disliked Jones when he was in his prime, but give the man some credit.
No use, haters make no exceptions no matter how much evidence you put on the table. Good post.

No one said he was a great heavyweight but he was a good heavyweight. I didn't like Jones running around saying he was the heavyweight champion because of beating Ruiz at all, but we know what would have happened if he had fought Lewis. It'd have been suicide.
            Also Golota....

He didnt suck, its just that often his fights are painfully boring to watch because of his jab n grab ****.
