No, what I said was a factual description of the events.

Here's the difference:

1. Mr A went to the shop but did not buy milk
2. Mr A went to the shop, but didn't buy milk because no one reminded him, even though they were supposed to.

1 is a description of events, 2 is an excuse.

I've spent more time criticising Calzaghe's choice of opponents than I've spent excusing him for it.

Well, as I already stated, it's a matter of opinion if Calzaghe really was injured. I don't think it's a fact that Calzaghe faked the injuries, but I don't think it's a fact that he was injured. I choose not to come to a conclusion when I do not have enough information.

I've made up my mind. When you want to fight someone, you fight them. There's no huge delays or times of empty space by Cal, and there certainly aren't conditions under which you will only fight your opponent. Glen deserved a direct contest regardless of whatever fight was in front of him, just for the fact on how south their last arrangement went.
