So he shouldve fought Johnson if/when he lost to Woods?

He should've fought Johnson period. That's red tape there, I'm not convinced a fight would've come off even if he won. If he really wanted to fight Glen Johnson he would've fought Glen Johnson. That's just how I see it.

You're now basing this entirely on your own opinion. You've got Calzaghe down as a ducker and no amount of fact or reasoning is going to change your mind.

Calzaghe did not need to fight Jonson at this point. He'd come off the back of beating Lacy in very impressive fashion and had unified the 168lb division. Johnson had just lost his title to Tarver and had wins over unheralded opposition.

Why then would Calzaghe have an agreement in place to fight him and state that he hoped Johnson would win??? Despite having a massive offer to fight Woods in Britain and having no need to fight Johnson anymore???

You could say that about any number of fighters. It has no logic or reasoning behind it. Things arent that simple.

Posturing. People do it in life all the time. All your guy has to do is look like he wanted to fight and you're satisfied. How about you just settle the nonsense and fight the guy? Just so no one questions you?

This is why I like Roy Jones (to a degree), Hopkins (to a degree), Shane Mosely, etc.

But you said he didnt mention Johnson. And used that as a reason to call him a ducker. Now you're saying that mentioning him is "posturing". Make up your mind.

He had an agreement in place to fight Johnson. Johnson lost, so that was that.

Dont see how you can use Jones and Hopkins to counter this.

He sure as hell didn't between him beating Roy and Tarver 2. That sounds just like Joe to go after Johnson after the luster is a little tarnished and making him jump through a hoop before fighting him, even at that. As far as Hop and Roy go, those 2 for the most part, go out of their way to make a tough fight and settle scores. Have done so more than 2x.

Now you're just being pathetic. Putting time frames on when Joe was supposed to talk about Johnson. This is getting dull. You think Calzaghe is a ducker. No amount of fact or reasoning will change your mind so im not gonna bother.

Hopkins agreed to fight Calzaghe, then backed out and made no effort to fight him again until 6 years later when Calzaghe was a payday for him.

Jones made no effort to fight the best after he beat James Toney

Yeah, it's nice to fight someone when they're winning and deserving, not only when they've lost and look like you can exploit them. Sound familiar?

Hopkins eventually fought Joe. Payday or whatever, they FOUGHT. That's the issue. Roy Jones won a HW belt and went down and fought Tarver just because he was pissing him off constantly. So, **** YOU. It's you that's pathetic and your boy who doesn't seem to want to test himself like he should've throughout his career. Glen Johnson is a duck on the record, deal with it.
