Plus, a chin is something that can't be trained; conversely, it can't be held against them either.

All-time, Jones is the better man. Hopkins definitely looks better older than does Jones, but in their prime, B-Hop was lucky that Jones fought him so cautiously.
Yes, but can we now bring up the argument that "chin" can get worse?

Example: Chris Byrd. Tyson (at the end of his career). And all the other fighters that eventually go out with 2-5 straight KO losses after years of having a good chin.

He wait until the last minute, thinking he would get a fight with Tyson. Plus it wasn't just weight he was draining, it was muscle.

Tough to say. Is George Foreman greater than Ali, just because he was still effective up to a much older age?

            Roy is better!

Roy Jones is way better. In his prime Jones is probably the best fighter of all time come on people! Jones, Suger Ray Robinson and Ali are the best ever! O and Joe Louis! Bhop look good against Kelly, but Kelly has not done anything yet in his career. Besides If you know boxing you can clearly see that bhop lost to Winky Wright! All bhop was doing was grabbing. he landed a couple of punches, but winky was pressing the fight he was coming forward all day! The referee blew it for winky, he never once penalize bhop. watch the fight again people! Plus I think Wright might be better than bhop! Winky just is not getting any love or credit! Who has he lost to? nobody wants to fight him! maybe Paul Williams.

Bernard Hopkins is also great, though he wasnt the fastest, the most exciting, or even the most powerful, his knowledge and knowing how to pull out a win is special as well. I would liked to have sat in as he watched his future foes and planned how he would defeat them, because he is like a general with the master plan.

I have to say they both are great in their own way!
You've said everything I wanted to say, but much better, the only thibg I disagree with is that Hopkins is NO "great". Except for maybe the Trinidad fight, he's "Stunk out? the arebna each timre, and in that fight, it was Trinidad who was the dtraw, not Hopkins, who, on his own merits as an "attraction" couldn't fill a phone booth.

Maybe the Oscar fight too, where Oscar was the attraction. He won both of those fights but they were really "soporifics".

Roy Jones is by far better than hopkins!! Plus he whipped him already! Hopkins wouldn't mind getting slapped around again as a last fight, as long as the moneys' right!!! he's learning from his BOSS oscar.

Roy has no possible chance of beating Hopkins at this stage.

After Hopkins dominated Kelly Pavlik on October 18 in Atlantic City, there was immediate hype for a Hopkins-Jones rematch. Hopkins went on the record, demanding the winner of Jones vs. Joe Calzaghe, taking place on November 8 in New York's Madison Square Garden. [details]

Both are great, Roy has won multiple titles Middle thru Heavy, B-Hop has beatin better comp, only man to jump from Middle weight to win the light heavyweight title, And he also beat my boy Pavlik. Roy was more entertaining to watch while B-Hop has always been a little boring, But I'd say B-Hop is a greater fighter then Roy.
