No, actually it's worse. If you saw the video after the fight, Pavlik said nasty thing about Hopkins like Hopkins isn't even a good fighter and he has no idea why he lost to Hopkins... Pavliks a ****head.

You need to learn how to listen. He said it wasn't the fact that Hopkins was slick or fast, but that doesn't mean Kelly said he wasn't. Kelly was simply saying something was wrong with himself. In no way did he insult Hopkins there.

Also, he said the guy he beat was able to hit Bernard. So why shouldn't Pavlik been able to?

Yeah, he's taking the loss hard and in a bit of denial. It happens all the time. He didn't look like himself but there's nobody to blame but himself for that. Trinidad and Tarver said the same exact thing. Tarver said he didn't feel like himself either after he lost. Hopkins has a way of taking you completely out of your game.

He DID insult Hopkins by underestimating him in the first place, and admitting to using triangle-theory logic to assume he would beat him, or even KO him.

The only thing wrong with him in that fight is that Hopkins' superior ring movement and timing on his punches took Pavlik completely out of his game. He says as much himself in so many words - he felt fine at the weight, he had plenty of energy, he can't understand what was wrong with him. Uh, maybe you're out of your zone, Kells? Maybe your opponent is the problem? Maybe you can't set your feet and never learned to hit a moving target?

I think Pavlik is a great fighter who tells it like he sees it, he is very honest in his assessments. He says what he truly believes, and there’s no shame in that. I’m sure he will be back.

bernard didn't do that to him? coincidence how tarver also had an off night. in fact, "that wasn't me in there" was the same exact statement released by tarver. both were humble in the post fight interview (how could you not be after getting so blatantly schooled in front of the whole world), only to come out with excuses post-fight. I guess Pavlik was poisoned too!

What he doesnt know is Hopkins made him have nothing by taking it away.

im tired of people making excuses for him.. Pavlik said himself he felt comfortable at that weight and he felt like he would be stronger at that weight.. i mean come on he was fighting a 43 year old man.. he got his ass handed to him plain and simple no excuses.. he would lose at any weight against bhop..

thats the truth. but the people who are embarrassed because they thought pavlik was going to kick B-Hop's ass need a way to justify it. They found a way to spin it....its a spin job. Even know the other guy is ****ing nearly 44 years old!!! they found a way to take away the glory of Hopkins smacking a p4p 26 yr. old around the ring for 12 rounds.
