Stop calling Calzaghe v. Hopkins a ROBBERY.

Are you people ***in ******ed? The word robbery gets used to loosely nowadays. This fight was NOT a robbery. THE END.

Agreed, Hard fight to score and it was close. I had it Calzaghe up by two rounds but with the KD it meant Calzaghe one by a point.

      NSB Rule # 598:

A close fight is a robbery if your favourite fighter lost.

      Annoying as hell..

Hopkins calzaghe was a very close fight.

I edged the fight for Hopkins but i could see how the judges favoured joe although i did feel their scorecards were a bit too wide.

How do Malignaggi/Cory Spinks win when they can't do any damage? It was not a robbery, Calzaghe didn't look pretty but he landed enough over Hopkins to make it close, Hopkins landed the crisper shots, Calzaghe landed more.

I really didnt know!! I lost count of my scoring by the end!! I was chuffed to bits when Joe got the nod, i can def see how people think Hopkins though...i remember even saying to my mate "Oh no...thats to close, their gonna give it Hopkins i think!"

I couldnt score it, very close, i wouldnt call it a robbery if either fighter got the nod that night.

Even if they can't punch they can still land..Calzaghe didn't land. Hopkins was countering him with better punches the entire night.

Calzaghe was landing just not with authority, Hopkins landed the better punches from rounds 1-4 then stopped, he threw nothing meaningful until round 10 where he faked a low blow. Calzaghe threw and landed but not with the same effect Hopkins did when he landed.
