Weren't all three of the judges American? 2 beats 1, two people saw Calzaghe winning and 1 saw Hopkins winning. That means Calzaghe wins. And wasn't the judge who had it for Hopkins a philly judge? LOL

          LOL, I agree.

I thought calzaghe won, but it could've definitely went the other way. If hopkins put some punches together I definitely think he would've won.

Dude Hopkins landed one or two good shots every three rounds or so. He wasnt active enough. Hopkins did the same **** against Taylor, threw no punches and thinks he's gonna win.

                    114-113 Calzaghe.

You're about right with that score, counting the knockdown (which technically could've been ruled a push, had the ref wanted to...I didn't catch it at the time myself, but Hopkins was following his right hand with his body, as well as twisting Zaggs off-balance). I could've given another round to Zaggs or Hopkins either one...it was ugly and hard to score. Best case for Hopkins, he gets a draw. Worst case, he loses a solid UD by 9 rounds to 3.

I agree its unfair to call it a robbery, its was just a really close fight.
What pisses me off about it is that Hopkins was never bothered by a single punch Joe threw, and manages to tag Joe HARD several times in the fight. The fact that Joe wins a decision for throwing a thousand slappy punches and Hopkins losses a decision for picking his spots and being less active is really annoying.
That said, judges see activity, they really dont pay enough attention to the effectivity of punching. Both guys knew that, and Joe uses it to his advantage.
