The truth is, Ali was NOT God!
    that is plain ****ing ******ed

joe frazier, george foreman, sonny liston...all guys who would demolish wlad, couldnt KO ali....and you think a guy who was put on his ass by sam peter and stopped by a dude named ross purrity could KO ali?????

thats the equivalent (or maybe worse) of saying arthur abraham could KO sugar ray robinson....oh wait you probably agree with that too, seeing as abraham is a european fighter

seriously, put any non euro against a euro and 9/10 wou guys will pick the white/ euro guy, your racism and bias disgusts me, as does your lack of boxing knowledge

(i actually thought tunney would be sane enough not too pick wlad, as for WLAD OWNS...come on no ones really suprised about him)

And the Purrity fight is totally irrelevant....it was 11 YEARS AGO

Wlad was only 21, had never gone past 6 rounds, only weighed 225 lbs....Wlad beat the **** outta Purrity for 10 rounds and completely ran out of gas and collapsed from exhaustion...He never even went down from a punch.
ali could whack, he wasnt a bonafide power puncher but there is no questioning he could hurt a man, i wouldnt call hima light puncher

Ali would be to fast, to skilled, and he is a lot tougher than Wlad, and Wlad power wound't really phase Ali when Ali fought huge punches in Frazier, Shavers, Foster, Moore, Foreman, Cleveland Williams, Liston and know of them could ko, or stop him. I would fancy Ali for a late stoppage becuase he did have some power or Ud! Plain and Simple.

And yes, I did get it, just didn't know it was bothering you in some way...just thought you were having a little fun with it.
Yeah, I was actually taking the piss out of you.

But only because I thought you were being demeaning to Ali by referring to him by the name he changed - like those people who refused to acknowledge it. (Terrell?)

Anyway, my bad, now I realise your reason wasn't that at all! It was just sort of jarring to see it up there. I thought you were one of those White Power (!) freaks.

            Again, my bad.

Btw, I half-agree onn Dylan. I've tried and tried to get into him but, barring some songs, I ain't feeling it.

            Neil Young brutally KOs Dylan!

Yeah so he just got caught right on the button, but at the end of the day he got up and won and then won the rematch, and ok Cooper may have some loses and weren't up there with the elite but he was Europen champion and did get a shot at the world title and maybe with Ali's speed he mat of tested Wlad chin which isn't a cast iron and Ali fought some very harder punches and some who punched harder than Wlad, in Archie Moore,Bob Foster, Joe Frazier,George Forman Earnie Shavers and Sonny Liston so i don't if any of them could knock him out i don't Wlad will.

You all seem to forget how much athletes have evolved. Usain Bolt jogged 9.91s in the second round of the games, that's faster than Carl Lewis was in Seoul. The overall competition in major sports is so much bigger.
You just can't compare them, too much has changed.

Naw, nothing like that. Even though I'm white, I don't tend toward racism. Sort of a life-and-let-live kind of guy.

As far as Clay goes, many still called him Clay when I was a kid, and things stick with you at that age. It's not that I won't refer to him as Ali, just that it isn't my first inclination. Has nothing to do with....well, anything, really.

About Dylan...about the only time I ever liked him was in that movie he played the bit-part in..."The Postman", and that could just be because I was so happy to not hear him sing. His music pretty much inspires me to homicide.

Agreed, Ali was no light feather puncher he had a 60% ko racio and stopped Foreman, Foster,Pattersonx2,Frazier(on stool)and dropped Iron jawed Sonny Liston. He could band and sting you.

And you can't compare jogging with boxing!!!
