Haha, that is not really a winnable fight for an aging Tszyu.

I hate to say this, because I'm a Wright fan, but... when a fighter says, "Big money fights only", I think that means they know they are getting shot and are not really looking to win anymore, but just to collect on retirement.

Well yeah but you have to take into consideration what the Hatton fight actually took out of him. And I dont think he was ever going to go back to fighting contenders.

Where the **** is Winky by the way???

        Is Winky fighting Abraham?

        "Big money fights only"

yeah kinda funny considering Hatton has said that above statement most recently

your correct D that it seems the fighters do the above to "cash out" rather then for legacy (same could be said for DLH-Pacquiao)

but big money aside, I still don't get why Hatton wants DLH-Pac .. as not only would he get paid, but risk getting kayoed in embarrassing fashion again

but it's all about the Benjamin's in the end

Looking for a big money fight.

Idk, I just have a hard time believing that Tszyu was good to go before that fight, and seriously lost everything he had in that fight alone.

Side note: I know you are clearly a bit biased towards UK fighters (other than Witter, who you won't even acknowledge the existence of ), but you seem to at least know how to make arguments to defend them, and they aren't dumb arguments either. I don't understand why so many people have such a problem with you as a poster.

Maybe I just like your name because it reminds me of on of my favorite songs... well, ****, two actually... inquire if your heart desires.

I think Abraham is seriously the biggest money that Winky can get... I mean, ****... he has gone after every other bigger money option, and missed all of them, hence the year and a half layoff already... ****.

            JUST ****ING FIGHT WINKY.

and even Arthur Abraham isn't that big of a fight .. name wise.
(only the hardcore fans really know Abraham, I wouldn't call Abraham mainstream if you follow me)

sure Abe's one of the best at 160

but I doubt an Abraham-Wright clash would be on PPV for example.

would still like to see it though and soon

as Winky's a fighter, and especially at his age the long layoff won't help him at all.

I think he's at the bottom of his barrell. After all, if he wins this, it likely forces a Pavlik fight, which is what he wants.

well yeah Abe's been talked about as fighting Pavlik for a while now, especially with both men (Abraham and Kelly) being undefeated. And Wink's gotten his name into the picture as wanting a fight vs Pavlik.

so it would be quite logical if Abraham/Wink happens to see the winner get that fight vs Pavlik

but a problem that could get in the way is Joe Calzaghe.

Calzaghe would be a much bigger fight for Kelly and IMO hands down rule out taking on the Winky/Abe winner

granted Joe could lose, or retire after facing Jones Jr in November, but if Calzaghe sticks around .... don't be shocked if Pavlik chooses Joe over the Wink/Abraham winner

Pavlik would and should pick Calzaghe over the winner. He's better and bigger than both IMO.

I just can't imagine that Calzaghe who is fighting the old legends is going to fight the young gun after that. I predict retirement or something.

well yeah I wouldn't blame Joe for retiring.

still a lot of time between now and his fight.

Pavlik has to impress vs Hopkins ... and Joe has to do his part and beat Roy

way too early at this point to decide what'll happen next year.

**and old legends aside, Calzaghe did take on Kessler, who was under 30

but still IMO too early to rush to a decision on what Joe and Pavlik do next

as they both have fights coming up, and well .. self explanatory. they gotta handle what's in front of them first.
