Hatton: Three more hits and I'm out

Joe made statements based on the climate largely, Roy won a fight and he altered his view, from then on he was more impressed with and considering Roy seriously. Others may not rate the win so much or think it's not that great a choice, but things change over time and so did his plans and judgement, accordingly. Agree or disagree.
Two weeks ago I thought Pavlik would beat Hops, now I think Hops will win. I've not contradicted myself just changed my mind and intentions betting wise and such over time, in light of plans of theirs coming to fruition. It's changing based on info, events, over time. The all important context in these things.Last edited by Kris Silver; 10-08-2008, 02:28 PM.Comment

Calzaghe might stick around for another year or two, but Hatton seems smart enough to know with his style he's going to be old in ring years very quickly. Even if Hatton changes his face forward attacking style, the fans will be turned off watching him hold and occasionally throw a punch.Comment

I'll bet 10k on Calzaghe not fighting more than once after Roy. He fights twice more after Roy, in 2009 (gotta set time limit) then the 10k's yours!?Comment

I didn't say I'd bet on him not fighting on beyond Roy, if anything in saying highly unlikely he'd fight more than once after Roy, I was interring a bet on that.

Now you're saying you'll only take the bet if Calzaghe doesn't fight more than 1 more time after RJJ? Hummm, read what I wrote again because I think you didnt understand it.Comment

Ummm I said clearly Calzaghe might fight for another year or two, you said I must be smoking something and said you'd back it up....

Hatton is a legitimate 2 division Champion and had victories over 7 or 8 Champions in a row before losing to the P4P#1 out of his natural weight division. Ricky has beaten every top JWW (140 lbs) and is fighting another Champion next that he'll beat and many are predicting him to lose like they did in most of his last 10 fights. I have no doubt that Hatton had a HOF caliber career. Like P4P though the HOF is just a matter of opinions in most cases.Comment
