well than explain to me how taylor looked better against a few yrs younger bhop? you can not base this statement on an opinion when they have never fought. if anything you can say they are close since both fought bhop close, yet taylor did so against a younger bhop!

If a fight between Kessler and Pavlik is made, Thompson thinks the result is a given: "I think it's going to be an easy fight for Mikkel. Kessler's speed will be decisive."

Mikkel Kessler himself want's a big fight after Haussler. "Kelly Pavlik's style suits me good", he says, "that would be a great fight for me".

Thompson is impressed with Kessler's speed: "Mikkel's strenght is the straight shots. I am a solid defensive fighter, but Kessler often catches me with straight punches."

If he's basing this mostly on speed, it's irrelevant. Taylor was faster than Pavlik too. Speed doesn't always win fights.

Plus we have seen Kelly develop his skills dramatically over the last year and a half, there is no doubt he is a different fighter than he was four years ago when he fought Thompson. So while this is a cute little assessment from a guy who's been in the ring with both fighters, it should obviously be taken with a grain of salt.

Hopefully they actually get to prove it in the ring soon, but I don't think we'll see it until 2010.

I can understand where you Kessler (Calzaghe) fans are coming from, but until Kessler beats someone good as JT or Hopkins ( Hope Pavlik wins KO). Pavlik is the better fighter.
