I think that Mayweather is an insecure person. Maybe I'm biased because I dislike him, but that's genuinely how it seems to me.

I think he is a little. I don't think he has ever been able to understand why he didn't attract a higher level of support. Neither can I to be honest. He was an incredibly skillful fighter and was in several very exciting fights.

He wants popularity. It was a constant thing in his career that he had all this talent and simply could not attract fans. He was saying his face should be painted up on hotels 80 feet high when none of the big boxing venues even wanted him. You could see after the Hatton fight he was in awe of Hatton's support and actually enjoyed having the atmosphere.

I remember reading somewhere where Floyd stated that he would give anything to have the backing and fan support that Hatton has.

He'd have more fans if he were fighting at his natural weights. At 130-140 he was more offensive minded but after moving up to persue money against DLH everyone thought he'd be fighting at 147. They were wrong because Floyd said that if he ever returned he would have wanted to fight at 140.

It was an article that i read a few weeks after his fight with Hatton. U dont have to believe me, but im positive i read it. Trust me, i was surprised myself to hear him say something like that.

He CLEARLY is to act the way he does. You can see it in his eyes. He wants to be liked and respected regardless of what he says. So he talks himself up, hires a bunch of yes men to hang around him, and throws money at people. Its all an act. Not trying to trash Floyd, cause he's retired and one of the best fighters I will ever get to watch, but Im just telling it like I see it.
