Part of being a commentator is asking contraversial questions. Larry has taken this route with MANY boxers. Not just Floyd. There has been several times where i noticed that Larry got on Bhops nerves, but Bhop countered with quick witty remarks and just kind've shrugged Larry's comments off. I think being booed for that performance, along with Larry's questioning really messed Floyd up mentally. His ego was hurt, and he felt really unappreciated. That is the reason why he cried his eyes out at the press conference and talked about retiring. If you're going to be a star who is in the spotlight, then u have to learn to adjust and take criticism in addition to praise.Comment

The bold is absoulutely true. But at the sametime if the commentator knows PBF was hurt why even ask some **** like that. Basically Merchant could have phrased that question differently and probably got a totally different answer. The booing probably did bother PBF most people would be bothered by getting booed. B-HOP is one of the most mentally strong and calculating people I ever seen in boxing so his reaction being different from PBF is not surprising.
He did acknowledge the fact that Floyd was hurt, but at the same time, his question that ticked Floyd off had nothing to do with him being hurt. Floyd stated that he put on a good performance. From a technical standpoint, and given the fact that he won, the answer is yes. Larry even stated that Floyd shut him out and gave him credit for that. Asking Floyd if the crowd found his performance to be a good enteraining performance, had nothing to do with im being hurt. Floyd could've answered back with something like "well since i hurt my hand, i couldnt give the fans the performance/show that i would've liked to" I think a response like that would've been a bit more classy. I think Floyd would've fought the same exact fight even if he wasnt hurt.Comment

I don't think he would have fought the same fight he was a little more aggressive and offensive IMO before he hurt his hand. I still think in the later rounds PBF would have made it look like the Gatti fight.
In the end both could have handled it differently.Comment

I think the bold is the answer PBF would have gave if Merchant would asked well since you hurt your hand did that affect the type of fight and performance you wanted go out and give?
