LOL Beating the best of the best! Baldomir, jeez wasn't he the best ever at welter weight? Wow PBF needs to hook me up with his dealer. PBF just looks like an arrogant spoiled a$$ hole.

That is not to say I don't respect PBF because he is an incredible technician, the best since "Sweat Pea". My issue with PBF is that he deflects honest questions just like that. He didn't put on an entertaining fight. Throwing 258 punches ain't **** over 12 rounds. Not even willing to throw 30 punches around when you get payed millions.

PBF never got an amazing amount of credit because he never fought in a fight. He would always box which is an incredible feat, but fight fans don't fall in love with boxers, they fall for fighters. Especially arrogant ones like PBF that aren't willing to live up to their word. Fight the best the creme de la cream, if you want to be considered the greatest get your ass out there and prove it. Talking about it only pisses the majority of us off.

Could he have been considered an arguable GOAT? Yes and that is what pisses everyone off, he is unwilling to prove is bull**** allegations.

You have two choices if you want to be considered a great, fight the best, or slug it out like Gatti, MAB, EM, Corrales(he even got more love), Tito, DLH, etc. He did neither.

The love PBF is lacking is purely his fault with ****ty marketing, he made himself out to be an a$$hole and everyone wants an a$$hole to lose.

Not trying to trash Floyd, cause he's retired and one of the best fighters I will ever get to watch, but Im just telling it like I see it.
Absolutely agree! He wants attention any attention and this is the attention he has to settle for because he constantly makes asinine remarks. You could tell he would be a much calmer better person when you meet him, but not in front of cameras.

I wouldn't necessarrily say Merchant was out of line. But even Merchant mentioned that he heard PBF say he hurt himself. So that was kind of a ****ed up question. I mean really what more do you want a person to do if they hurt? Now if PBF didn't hurt himself and fought all 12 rounds like that then I feel that question would have been justified. We all know Merchant doesn't really perfer boxers he likes brawlers and there is nothing wrong with that. But in Merchant's line of work he does some real out of line ****.

Part of being a commentator is asking contraversial questions. Larry has taken this route with MANY boxers. Not just Floyd. There has been several times where i noticed that Larry got on Bhops nerves, but Bhop countered with quick witty remarks and just kind've shrugged Larry's comments off. I think being booed for that performance, along with Larry's questioning really messed Floyd up mentally. His ego was hurt, and he felt really unappreciated. That is the reason why he cried his eyes out at the press conference and talked about retiring. If you're going to be a star who is in the spotlight, then u have to learn to adjust and take criticism in addition to praise.

You're right about commentators. But they should also be able to handle it if an athlete blows up at them. It goes both ways and frankly these kinds of things are entertaining to most sports fans.

I didn't see it, well. I didn't see HBO Broadcast. I don't think Merchant likes Mayweather much, he prefers the guys who come to fight. Mayweather is a pure boxer, and Larry likes action

I think Larry handled himself quite well actually. Even when Floyd was getting all riled up in his face, Larry just stood there with a smirk and even said "thank you" LOL.

Personally I think Merchant's finest moment is after the Lewis Vitali fight. You ever see that one?
