You can try to phrase the question any way you want, but Bernard Hopkins doesn't hit harder than Kelly Pavlik.
Your missing the point. 1 fights at 160. The other at 175.

Hopkins is very heavy handed. Hes stopped a lot better chinned fighters than Pavlik has.

Bernard Hopkins never fought at Middleweight either. Don't let his record fool you. It's all a smoke screen and a conspiracy. He's fought at 175 his whole career... that's why his power is so much more devastating than Pavlik's.

Bernard Hopkins is talked about as one of the greatest Middleweights of all time... not as one of the greatest Light Heavies of all time.

Pavlik comes into the fight at 165 max. Hopkins closer to 180. Difference will be enormous.

Hey simple, your missing the obvious.

Hopkins has been at LHW for his last few fights.

                    Pavlik hasn't.

Look at their respective records, especially in recent years; and explain to me how Hopkins possibly punches harder than Pavlik. I'm asking strictly for empirical data, because actually discussion of fights would be too easy on my part.

You wont find any data because it doesn't exist. Hopkins last knockout was in 2004 from his questionable body shot to DLH and before that was over the awesome Carl Daniels in '02. These were at middleweight, mind you.
