Dan, my whole beef is you trying to put the blame on Pac and Arum. I am sure they thought they were worth more. All elite fighters do. But the fact remains that they never made even close to that kind of coin before and had never been a draw. How is it either Pacquiao or Arums fault that team Marquez walked away from this offer? On top of that they didn't see that kind of money or exposure again for 3 years till they fought Barrera. Im just trying to figure out how you can put any of the fault on Pacman, when it was Marquez and his team that made these extremely detrimental decisions.

JAB, I blame Arum for closing the negotiations. They never wanted to meet Marquez halfway which is what Nacho has blatantly stated. They never went above 750,000 and that was their first offer. Both sides are to blame. It can't just be one sided. I don't blame PAc for the rematch not being made, I blame Arum. Nacho could've taken the offer, but he didn't, and Marquez didn't have a problem with Nacho's decision. Marquez contributed to the drama just as much as Pac caused it. PAc deserved the lion's share there is no doubt about that. You don't hear me denying that. Arum from what I read thought that he would not receive the cut he wanted from the ppv, and if he did, it would cut into what Pac was receiving. Pac has been unhappy with Arum on more than one occasion in the past, but that is how boxing goes. I really don't know why we are talking about 2 great fighters like this. Both are proven champions and we are talking about who did and who didn't take a rematch a couple of years ago on this thread?

Lets go back to the original question of this thread. I doubt JMM is scared of John but I think Nacho is terrified that taking the fight again will freeze JMM out just like it did the first time Beristein and his ego blundered JMM out of a career high payday vs Pac. Some people believe Arum was the cause of the rematch not happening but lets be real here the offer was on the table for more money than JMM ever made before and Nacho got greedy and ended up screwing the guy that he works for.
