Again, flawed logic. Not losing is not sufficient justification for remaining at a certain spot on the p4p list. You need to weigh up the short term resumes of each of the fighters. I'm not saying Calzaghe should lose his number 2 spot, because I don't think he should, but using "he has not lost" is not sufficient justification for him keeping his rank. If he doesn't fight a top contender in the months following the Jones fight (supposing he wins) I think he should be demoted.
Joe Calzaghe officially number 3 on the P4P list now

I agree. People are always making this mistake. Last week I was talking about resumes in the context of p4p rankings and one poster said "What does resume have to do with p4p?" I then explained it to him and he answered "Everything you posted was incorrect bull****" or something similar. PPl basically have no idea.Comment

It's not about both...
It's about resume.
Or else why was P4P #7 Mayweather favored over P4P #5 Corrales when they fought? Seems like the better fighter had the lesser resume, right?Comment

Can't imagine what one-hit wonder, coming off a loss (his 5th one no less) Mosley and no resume Molitor are doing in your top 20, but... whatever. Is Kessler greater than these fighters P4P?

Resume tells you the ability of the fighter based on his performance against quality opposition. If he defeats a P4P lister in such a dominating fashion for example and repeats that performance against boxers of the same caliber...then it shows you how good that boxer is. If you are undefeated but has done so beating so so boxers, if could indicate that you are above certain level of boxers but your capability as far as performing against elite opposition is still in doubt, case in point Edwin Valero, and Thai boxers who have 50 plus wins against 2 or 3 losses.I agree.
