The undefeated Calzaghe should stay at #2 p4p.

When did being undefeated matter. Calzaghe himself would be embarrassed that you put those 3 names to defend his resume.

yes it does, Casamayor was like Hopkins, an older seasoned fighter who was still game but nothing like he used to be.

The only difference is Marquez dominated a 37 year old, Calzaghe looked horrible vs a 43 year old.

IMO Calzaghe is being very overated here because of his undefeated status. In terms of oposition quality and skills Marquez is much better.

He made a skilled boxer look bad tonight, that goes to show how good Marquez really is.

being undefeated is good but it aint everything

its the quality of opposition you face

damn near every elite level guy would be undefeated if they fought the dudes on joes resume (in a p4p sense)......

if joe fought the guys on JMM's resume (again p4p sense) he would have at least 4-6 losses

so in short, yes JMM is p4p no. 2 now

This is flawed logic. Your p4p status is dependent on your short term resume. If Joe doesn't beat a top contender at either SMW or LHW over the next 12 months he will fall down the list.

Don't overestimate the Casa win for JMM. Casa is just as shot as Hopkins and he should have lost to Katsidis if Kat had any control whatsoever. JMM deserves to be number 3 p4p right now.

Marquez stopped Casa. Not even Catsidis was able to seal the deal after putting him through the ropes. So please cease with the Casa is past it. He was very game tonight and landed the left hand well. He's definitely slowed down but Marquez was great tonight.

I am really confused at some of the hate I see towards Marquez on this board.

Are you dumb? People overrated lacy but Calzaghe should still get credit for that fight. And Shieka and Reid in there primes were good fighters. When they fought Calzaghe I believe both of them only lost once before that.

A question that does not even have a possible answer. Absolutely no feasible argument why Calzaghe should be #1 over Pacquiao.

                      Also... Hopkins >>>>>>>>>>>> Casamayor.

When the **** did Hopkins get Santa Cruz'd?

How often has Hopkins had to depend on his power to pull him to a victory in a fight he was going to lose on the scorecards?

How often has Hopkins been knocked down and gotten dragged into a brawl when it was to his disadvantage?

Seriously, everyone, Hopkins is much, much better than Joel Casamayor, old or young.
