shane mosley is my favorite fighter. the balco steroids stuff is unfortunate but it doesnt change the fact that hes a true competitor who takes challenging fights every chance he gets.

mosley gets respect because he is the perfect example of how more fighters need to be for boxing to not be completely devoured by mma. tough, respectful and unafraid

Spotlight his resume, bring up the roids allegations, say what you want about Mosely but the man is class…no fake antics to hype up fights, no lame excuses after losses, no pouty retirements and he fought whoever they put in front of him

He blamed the first loss to Forrest on the headbutt and said Forrest learned to headbutt people from Georgia training camps with Evander Holyfield. He said he won the rematches with Forrest and Wright, and claimed he had "Winky holding on for dear life" in the rematch.

I was just answering whoever said that he never makes excuses for his losses. While he did better in the Wright rematch, anyone who says he won is insane.

You know, the reactions on message boards were funny when Mosley lost to Cotto and was gracious in defeat.

He showed mild surprise, but quickly hid it and there was nothing more about it...

Except him bitching to Larry Merchant about how much better he did and that he thought he won the fight.

I know Mosley did the **** he was supposed to do moreso in the second match, but... I thought Wright was still blocking a ton of it and was actually getting to Sugar Shane much more.

Shane was dominant at 135 by beating and knocking heads off. But, competition was not fierce. Philip Holiday is the toughest name, and that aint all that. For whatever reason, no fight against Johnston or Nazarov.

He gets mad props for beating Oscar at 147. But that seems to be the high point of his career. He failed to dominate other guys and it seems that his win over Oscar at WW has carried him to be relevant to this day.

Realistically, Shane's victory over Oscar at WW is all he has. I will never believe that Shane beat Oscar in the rematch, Shane will be forever grateful to Oscar for resurrecting his career.
