Jones has as much chance of beating Calz as Judah had of beating Clottey none what so ever these people saying he will KO Calzaghe are hilarious incase you have'nt noticed Calzaghe takes a pretty good shot also Jones last KO was way back in 2002 against Clinton Woods

    so WTF

i also dont see him getting a decision either cause of his poor stamina this is a sure fire victory as you can get IMO same as the Judah v Clottey fight

unless Calzaghe has detiriorated to the level Jones is at now then i only see one winner and it aint Roy im afraid

This Jones fight is going to influence opinion on Calzaghe more than any other. Unless Calzaghe is shot now, he should dominate and I think more than any other fight it'll make some people realise that Calzaghe is very good. It shouldn't be that way, but a lot of people here still seem to believe Roy is the fighter he used to be, so when Calzaghe beats him they're gonna be surprised and in some cases even be impressed. I think even some guys who know Jones is all but done now will be affected like this too, Roy Jones is Roy Jones and still has that aura about him for many.

The other thing of course, is that many really love Jones and seeing him beat is going to piss them off, and some will hate Calzaghe even more than they already do, exactly like Tarver is hated.

i think this fight which ever way it goes will be recieved negatively by majority of haters when American fight fans make their mind up about you they like to be proved right and they will continue the witch hunt untill you fail even if it is against the best fighter in the world in Hatton's case

Yeah maybe. Too bad no-ones going to beat Calzaghe so they'll just have to go on pretending they're right, even though they're not!

I always wonder on what basis it is that US Calzaghe critics concluded that he was rubbish. After all most have only ever seen him hammer Lacy, outclass Kessler and outwork B-Hop. I dunno, maybe I'm being too generous, maybe they only saw B-Hop and think thats the best Joe ever fought in his career.

Stylistically a faded Jones still has a shot against Calzaghe I think.

He still has the handspeed, but he needs to up that workrate ten-fold or knock Calzaghe the **** out. If he comes out like he did against Tito for the opening four rounds then he'll find himself out of the fight before it's begun. It was ironic that he was cautious in the first 4 after predicting the stoppage.

wanna bet on the fight ?

handspeed is not going to be a huge factor IMO especially not as Jones starts to tire he may confuse Calz early and get a few cheers but thats about as far as it goes

Roy's aged reflexes and bad stamina are gonna be the story of the fight for Jones IMO
