When Hatton was coming up before he got famous, He was exactly like Khan..the only people who know this are people who follow him at that time.

So what if Khan got KO in less than a minute?? it shows he wasnt ready to be pushed like most people wanted him to be pushed, The guy has been KO now so i guess all the guy everybody feels better now, talking about hatton seems to be a crime for any boxer these days

Maybe I'm being a hypocrite somewhat.

I mean, I cannot stand Calzaghe and would love to see him put in his place. So I do understand why sometimes fans dislike fighters so much.

I just don't get the hate for Khan specifically.

Who else without 20 fights has said that they will become a three-weight world champion? Who else at this point in the careers has said that they can beat Pacquiao?

And it's not just that he said these things, but the casual, dismissive way he said them--as if they were paths, stepping stones in his career rather than actual accomplishments.

Everyone loves when a big mouth has to eat some crow.

It doesn't have much to do with Hatton. But he did say some silly things, like he would beat Mayweather over four rounds, would beat Pacquiao etc.

If anything I think it had more to do with Warren than Khan that people were pleased to see him go.

It's not that good for British boxing as he was a big name and he was fairly accessible. Mind you this was a PPV fight so he was going to disappear from the limelight because of that fact anyway.

Yes he was saying he was ready for Pacquiao (who I think would have a tougher time with Khan than Prescott did - Prescott is tall, hard punching and fast. Pacquiao would have taken a round or two instead of twenty seconds) and the best of all was that he said he could beat Mayweather over four rounds. This was after his fifth fight or something.

                  He's just a kid.

Yeah, he thought he could beat the best, but don't most young prospects? The difference is that Khan had a camera in front of him 24/7, and was constantly asked about Hatton etc.

There are people on this forum who spend more time hating on certain boxers than they do talking about their favourites. It's a bit weird really.

yea i mean this is a young mans career and people are rejoicing like Floyd got KO'd.........he's never been a **** talker or flaunting and ****. Matter fact hes building a state of the art boxing gym back in his hometown for at risk youth........he doesnt really deserve that kinda criticism

and what gives with everyone completely writing him off.......i think we should at least see what the next couple fights bring until making a statement like that.

Whatever he said....who cares? Boxers have been running their mouths to excess since Ali, and you can't really pay attention to any of it.

Too many people on this forum don't seem to understand the sport enough to even speak intelligently about it.

Furthermore, when it gets right down to it, instead of being such a ****ing ****, and trashtalking a guy who gets KO'd unexpectedly, they should instead be kissing his ass, and thanking him for stepping into the ring in the first place. He fights on TV for a little paycheck, and to please the boxing fans, that's it, the whole of it, and I don't give a **** whether he's "chinny" or not, he at least has my respect, if nothing else.

Without guys like him, most of you ****wits would be surfing **** and spanking your monkey on a Saturday night instead of watching fight...'cause you pathetic muther****ers sure as hell won't be getting any ass.
