Kinda weird how much delight people are taking in a young boxer getting KO'd

The deliriously happy reaction of some on here to Khan getting KO'd is kinda odd.

Did he get exposed tonight? Yes.

Will he become an elite-level boxer? Not with that chin.

But he's a young kid who won an Olympic silver at 17, has alot of natural ability, but just happens to be afflicted with a glass chin.

A young boxer who brought alot of exposure to boxing got brutally knocked out and, without wanting to sound over-dramatic, probably had his career path ended.

I'm not saying we should all light a candle but it's kinda weird to see so many people rejoicing!

    What gives, guys?

Some of it will be racism. Amir represents the UK, he's brown...some will not like that. Others will just be haters, others still may have won a punt and cashed in for 20 quid.

I support Khan, I hope he comes back strongly. But his chin is a huge issue.

I agree it is odd, Khan is two years younger than me so put into that context it's pretty sobering.

Nonetheless we don't have to light a candle for Khan the kids a millionnaire, but his dreams were dashed tonight, and he will never be a world champion. Why would anyone rejoice at that.

One talented young fighter fell, but how about celebrating a rising star like Prescott?

for me the fact that he was sooooooooooo arrogant makes me glad he got a reality check. i mean this guy ran out the mouth about beating hatton, and pac ffs. he got owned, and he deserved it imo. it always comes back around.

He needed a little humbling IMO, he was calling out the big names, making bold predictions before he had done anything in the sport to warrant that, this was his wake up call, I do hope he comes back alright though, that knockout was brutal and it was in front of his family and a lot of hometown fans.

Yeah that's a great point. Maybe if he had won GOLD he would have made to it round 2 before getting KTFO
