man mayweather vs big show didnt sold 1.1 million buys
the wrestling matches sold the ppv there was a reason floyd vs big show wasnt the main event
in fact the previous wrestlemania did more than 1.1 so what makes u think floyd had any possitive effect on the numbers? i think it had a more negative effect, they coulda bought a more popular superstar like donald trump or pacman jones

Yes. Primarily. I meant worldwide btw because you cannot market a Pacman fight in the philipines as a PPV even if he is a hero it would do so many more buy if you could. The most popular sport over here is proberbly badminton but Chris John is a big star (odd I know) but NO average indonesian will pay for it. Did you know that the average earning over here is less than minimum wage in America or Britain.

The casual fan will not take much interest in pacman because he is not "playing the villian" like Floyd was doing. The primary reason it will do well (not great in oscar terms) is because of Oscars drawing power. It will do the same as Shane-Oscar or around that.

Look Pacquaio is Pound 4 Pound #1 fighter just Like Floyd was.
This Fight is going to get a 24/7 Just like The Floyd got with Oscar
Oscar is still reguarded as the most Popular Fighter in the Sport just like he was with Floyd

        So whats the big deal...?
The way you are comparing is like the way cell phone companies omit details about other companies just to make floyd look better.

Manny Pacquiao is an international fighter. He's not from the US but you use US standard to measure his drawing power. Thats like saying MLS will never bring in as much revenue as NFL therefore football is a bigger draw than soccer all over the world.

You also omit circumstances around this fight that werent around the floyd fight like titles or weight disparity.

But in reality Pac could fight DLH anywhere out the US and do just as well while floyd could fight a who's who of boxing out the US only 5 *****s show up 4him

I think it might just outdo the wrestling show but will fall behind the other two Mayweather fights because they have a fanbase that can support themselves (no disrespect to philipinos Indonesia is worse) The only real pulling power is the P4P title and Oscars flare for promotion. There are alot of people willing to miss the fight and that will pull it down.

Notice they were all against Mexican legends? There were some filipino's but certainly the barrera fight was a Mexican audience because Pacquiao was a nobody who was expected to lose at the time. Pacquiao's buys are either filipino's or the hardcore fan. Hardcore fans love there Pacquiao

So you are saying if the fight was outside the United States of America
              (Richest Country in the World)

This fight would do better than Oscar vs. Floyd?

it doesn't matter if they were all rich.

it'll be on a tv network and not count as ppv numbers in america.

the big shots will still fly to vegas to watch the fight at mandalay but it's not like they're gonna fly to america to go order the ppv from their room.

i guarantee one thing though worldwide there are more pacquiao fans than floyd don't know about the u.s.

What is this thread trying to prove? Not criticising, just wondering.
