If Manny Pacquiao vs Hector Velazquez can get on free Hbo so should have
    Ricky Hatton vs.Hatton vs. Lazcano

If Wladimir Klitschko vs Eliseo Castillo can get on free Hbo so should have
    Ricky Hatton vs.Hatton vs. Lazcano

If Joe Calzaghe vs Sakio Bika can get on free Hbo so should have
    Ricky Hatton vs.Hatton vs. Lazcano

If Alexander Povetkin vs.Eddie Chambers can get on free Hbo so should have
    Ricky Hatton vs.Hatton vs. Lazcano

If Joe Kassim Ouma vs Kofi Jantuah can get on free Hbo so should have
    Ricky Hatton vs.Hatton vs. Lazcano

If Ricky Hatton is such a draw?
Why can all these fights get on Hbo for free,
and not Ricky Hatton vs. Lazcano ????
    Oh my, this is tedious.

Address my points about Tszyu-Hatton if you like. Or don't.

When I decide to make points about Hatton's international marketability, I'll make sure to come straight to a thread of yours, I promise.

I assume that Hatton-Lazcano wasn't on because the time, location, and choice of opponent didn't suit HBO, coupled with the fact that they maybe had something better to show that night. But I don't know, because it's not a subject that I take/took a big interest in. I didn't even watch Hatton-Lazcano.

Why do you think that Ouma-Jantuah got more HBO love? Because they are both so popular?

Well it's an open debate. I disagreed with part of your post so I commented on it. I saw that it was addressed to him, but I am used to everyone just jumping in randomly around here

It's like if you made a post about Mayweather deserving the decision against Castillo, and you said that he deserved to win round 10. Well maybe I think Mayweather deserved to win the decision, but that Castillo deserved round 10, so I might disagree.

I disagree with some of what you said, but not all of it.

I don't know, I don't live in the US or watch or HBO.

Hatton has more fans willing to come and see him, but Pacquiao is more exciting and has had more fights against top opposition.

I am guessing it would be Pacquiao, because I don't think Hatton vs David Diaz would interest many people like Pacquiao vs Diaz did. But that's a guess, as I don't know the situation in the US.

ok with that response my next and final question to you is...

Do you think Oscar vs. Pacquaio will do better than Floyd vs. Hatton?

Yes. I was half-thinking that because that is the favourite pasttime of the Hattonlads.

Nah, I find him a bit annoying really. I don't dislike the guy, but I think he's quite boring as a fighter and puts on an act when in front of the media.

I don't know. If I had to guess, I would say yes, because de la Hoya is very popular and it's his last fight, and Pacquiao is popular as well.

But people might be put off by the weight difference or because the economy isn't as good, so I'm not sure.

During the 24/7 epoch, I was trying to tell folks that Hatton's 'regular lad' persona was as fake as Floyd's "vicious thug' persona.

Mayweather-Hatton was, basically, Floyd's first foray into WWE.[/COLOR

It's just crazy to me that in a country of 80 million people like the Phillipines, they close businesses and streets so people can watch Pacquiao fight.
They say everything stops there and everybody watches, everyone.
30 million people together on street corners at bars and restaurants all watching the same fight.

And best of all, they watch it for free.

Just think if that happened in the U.S. WOW.

He has had a lot of PPVs, Or at least they were PPV here. I am not sure what was and wasn't PPV elsewhere. Frank Warren did a similar thing with Ricky as he is with Khan now. Get him some popularity, then chuck them on PPV to make money.
