I scored it six million rounds to one for Calzaghe.

Hopkins gets one round instead of an Oscar.

You need to be quick with the counter punching followed with aggression. You must not ALWAYS wait but take the attack to him (throw wild punches to make it look as if you are landing to impress the judges).

He is confident. You must make him respect you. Fast, hard hard body shots and Flash Kd's are a start. Once he respects the speed and power he will lower his work rate, take his confidence and he would spend more time thinking than going into the windmill mode. Especially if you are just as fast IF not faster.

To "beat" Joe Calzaghe, you must use a solid work rate and over all land the clear and harder shots. (I think HOP drew out the blue prints for us) Thanks grandpa hop, you're the best!!!!!

Of course this is boxing and a KO is always out there but its hard to say with his chin. (I only say this because I think kessler has a solid punch and he landed a few hard shots that joe took for a snack and spit back in his face). But its boxing and anything can happen, especially when you're getting older, slower and are looking for the end of your career with a lot of dollar signs in his eyes.

      A young Joe Calzaghe:
I would sick a young Roy Jones Jr on him and that is all that would need to be said.
That's hardly fair you can stick a young RJJ on almost anyone from 160-175 and Roy wins.

Hopkins countered when Calzaghe was coming in but he was fighting on the outside for the most part because he would not let Calzaghe work on the inside because Hopkins knows that's where this Calzaghe does his best work. Hopkins threw counter on the inside but that does not consitute what I would call inside fighting. He was on the outside trying to throw when Calzaghe came in but he was not actively seeking to get inside on Calzaghe.

I would say someone who has good(not great) hand speed and a active accurate jab to like you said...off set his timing....I was thinkin' Chad Dawson!
chad willl lose badly to JC. I never thought the kid was any good anyway. I was thinkin of someone like Kelly Pavlik, Jermain Taylor w/o stamina issues, Hopkins 2-3 years ago, RJJ now and in his prime, Andre Dirrell after a few more fights, maybe even winky wright, the guy never gasses out and barely gets hit clean I believe he'll outwork and outjab Calzaghe(his slaps will be damn near ineffective against him.
