The problem is with his douchebag fans that try to make Roy out to be not done, or Bernard not old and those to be great wins.

Calzaghe fought them when they were old. Period. He gets money but not credit for that.
Hopkins was old but most agree he was LHW #1, so it's a great win against a legimately top of the division guy. You can claim otherwise but that's the consensus, and your arrogant opinion doesn't over-ride others.

By the way, your a complete penis.

JC may fade off into the night after losing to RJJ or he may win and retire anyway. Either way, I think the middleweight king will not get his shot at JC and that will only hurt one person - Joe Calzaghe. Kelly has the MW unification with AA, he has Kessler at SMW and he can continue from there. Kelly Pavlik DOES NOT need Joe Calzaghe. Although we all want to see it, I highly doubt it happens.
If Calzaghe wins the fight against Jones, Kessler would be a fool not to try and get a fight set up with Zaggs, I just don't know if he'll be able to talk him into it. I think that, if Calzaghe can beat Jones (and I'm fairly confident he will), he might be able to be enough of a draw himself to want to fight Pavlik...after all, he'd probably get a 65%, maybe even a 70% split, which would give him nearly as much (maybe more???) than he'll earn in the Jones fight, and everybody should have the sense to realize that he's ONLY FIGHTING JONES FOR THE MONEY, and I don't blame him, no sir, not one bit. Anyway, if Calzaghe fights again after the Jones fight, it will almost certainly be against Pavlik, and will be sometime in the spring of '09.

        Yeah fair enough.

The Hopkins fight wasn't a great win in my eyes really speaking.

It was an ugly fight but i kind of expected that.

To win in America as a Brit after being knocked down in the opening round and still managing to win the fight by decision takes some doing.

Few fans accuse boxers of ducking Calzaghe, if they do it's often insinuated as ignoring and not talking of potential opponents equalling ducking like many make out, so saying it's the same in essence.

Don't take a few peoples views as a basis for numerous more, and chill out.
Yeah, he fought Will McIntyre in Denmark. We know this because this was when he called out Roy Jones LOL. Come on man, you know better than that. Other than that, he's fought in the UK pretty much his whole career, finally coming down to the US last April.

I do give him one bit of credit in the Hopkins fight: he showed heart and grit. That's def. true and can not be denied.

You're such a fanboy it's hilarious. Go ahead and crown him God when he won an ugly disputed decision over a grandpa. Once again, I guess by your logic we can call Tervor Berbick an all time great since he thrashed Ali.

Guess that makes me "arrogant". LOL.

Insecure much? It was a big stage and he didn't fall apart and get KOed in it. Kudos to him.

                  So what?

                  Still following me around? LOL.

Basically what you quoted from me, would be my response again. Maybe you don't read so good.

Democracy under you would make Mugabe feel queazy.

Once again, Calzaghe showed heart in the fight. I respect that. But he's shown heart before so I'm not shocked at that.

What I am shocked at is anyone thinking that it was

                      A. A great win.

                      B. A good or great performance

                      C. Decisive
