Arguello has been ko'd in fights at 130 and lower. If he made 1 mistake against Floyd the fight is over.

No, he didn't miss them. They didn't want the fight. Floyd called both of them out. We can say the same about PAc not fightng Valero or Guzman. We can do this with any fighter in history. Sometimes fights don't get made. If you watched boxing then, you saw Floyd call them both out many times. People look back and see who a fighter didn't fight and say he never fought this guy or that guy. No, you can't change history. I was there lol.

Casamayor...maybe. But Floyd practically begged for a fight against the winner and Freitas wanted NO parts of that. ****, I still remember Floyd sitting ringside and yapping at poor Acelino. At 130, they didn't want it.

I recall him calling out Casamayor after a fight (among others, he was calling out De La Hoya even back then), but it never happened. Once Floyd started moving up in weight he jumped divisions quickly.

Yes, you're right. He began calling Oscar out right around then - basically, when his father began training him.

                Arguello by KO

Arguello wouldve made mince meat with FMJ. Pryor wouldve made floyd cry.

Arguellos Kryptonite were pressure fighters that throw combo after combo. it would slow his game down big time.

I cant see FMJ even coming close.

Honestly I think the whole reason Floyd moved up past LW was to make the De La Hoya challenge feasible. Smart strategy from an economic standpoint...

People say this largely based on the Pryor fight (and slightly on the Mancini fight), and to win Pryor had to start boxing in the mid-late rounds. Don't forget that Arguello destroyed Escalera, Chacon, Limon etc.
