floyd's all time status match ups - floyd mayweather vs alexis arguello.

in response to the ring not having floyd top 25 all time, why don't we ask where he fits all time in the divisions he's fought?

Alexis had trouble with good boxers (who doesn't though). It would be an interesting fight though because they are both big 130 pounders. I would favor Floyd over Alexis but 130 Floyd might not have had the experiance to deal with a fighter like Arguello. I think that Arguello would hit Floyd more often then most fighters do, I just do not think over the course of the fight he would hit him enough to either stop him or win a decision. If your talking a 15 round fight though i don't know because unless you have seen someone go 15 it is hard to ascertain what someone would do over the last 3 rounds.

So i guess in a 12 round fight Mayweather and in a 15 round fight Arguello might edge it

Arguello proved his worth and fought the best available at the time.. Floyd didn't..

This is Why Mayweather didnt make the top 25...

it's time for some people to accept that talent doesnt equal greatness..

That is debateable.... Corrales was a fan favorite... But being a fan favorite does not equal greatness either...

greatness is obtained by being GREAT.. win or lose.. It takes a special kind of courage to be great..

It is not obtained by being exciting or being gifted.. those are only part of the package

you want him to hire a voodoo doctor to conjure up the dead so he can fight Pep and Sadler?

No... I have watched boxing for 30 years.. Floyd mayweather is remakably talenetd..
But he is a ****ing chicken who hand picks his fights..and that is not GREAT

you want to talk about VOODOO? The Mayweathers are masters at that.. ALL TIME GREATS at manipulating the masses..

name one guy at 130 who he fought that is considered a top 50... and you will make your point.. Corrales is very overrated.. and wont make any top 100 list never mind top 50..

Mayweather will always be rememberd for the fights that didnt happen..

              ATG ducker? yes Sir!!
