At 130 a very tough fight to call and a decision either way. Arguello's chances of success depend on his ability to time Mayweather, and he was one of the best ever at this. But Mayweather, using that unorthodox broken rhythm and punches (lead rights, lead hooks) in combination with his greater speed will peck and one-shot his way to a decision if Arguello doesn't solve the puzzle.

you want to talk about VOODOO? The Mayweathers are masters at that.. ALL TIME GREATS at manipulating the masses..

name one guy at 130 who he fought that is considered a top 50... and you will make your point.. Corrales is very overrated.. and wont make any top 100 list never mind top 50..

Mayweather will always be rememberd for the fights that didnt happen..

wtf are you smoking? You still didn't answer Ernies question. And i doubt you have been watching boxing for 30 years. What are you a 50 year old on message boards all day? Your signatures shows you're about 15-17 years old. Corrales very overrated? You've been watching boxing since 07 don't lie to yourself.

I am in NO WAY comparing Arguello to Corrales, except for in the height department.. But that is why I feel like Mayweather would likely break Arguello down, with that strong jab to the body that he used to make the taller man "shorter" in a sense. Admittedly, Arguello would be a much tougher challenge because of that jab. I still think Floyd would get around, though I doubt he'd stop Arguello.

actually I think how Mayweather fought Chicanito might serve as a better comparison because Chicanito was tactical much like Arguello albeit slower and with less pop.

while I would still favor Mayweather I think the jab to the body would be countered by the short accurate right hand Arguello would throw.

Mayweather would have to be at his best both physically and mentally to master Arguello who was about as textbook as they come.

Why should anyone value your opinion when you have Mr.s Spock in your Avy, and Floyd in a chicken outfit? You've been watching boxing for 30 years, and you call fighters cowards??? lol.

Chicanito Hernandez couldn't hold Arguello's jockstrap. Diego Corrales couldn't sniff it.

Wow, just wow at the comparisons here...

You have a very good point! But Mayweather would not get caught with many single shots. And he has never really had problems facing other boxers. Arguello would have to throw combinations, punches in bunches and that was not his style. He was too controlled to beat Floyd, imo.

Arguello was too slow for Floyd and too easy to hit. Floyd at 130 stops Arguello in 10.
