I agree with you Whitaker is overrated. Not in the fact of certain parts of his game but as a whole. He just didnt have it all.
Most overrated fighters of this era is Roy Jones Jr. (maybe of all time) and Winky Wright.Comment

4 division champion from 135 to 154. First lighweight to unify the title since Roberto Duran. One of a handful of fighters in history to win titles at 135 and 147. Never truly beaten at 135. He beat tough fighters for each title too. Plus he spanked Julio Cesar Chavez ass in San antonio.Comment

Read my ****in posts dumb ass!!!!! I already said his titles held are the only reason why he is even concidered a great, But what I'm asking is WHO the **** did he KICK THE **** OUT OF TO BE CONCIDERED GREAT!!! I'll conceed Chavez and the first Ramirez fight, but besides them he barely gets by a lot of the good fighters he fought.4 division champion from 135 to 154. What does Mayorga have to do with any of this? lol
My favs. have nothing to do with who is the best or the latest fighter of the minute.
How do you have the nerve to say anything? From the looks of your avi, your a expert of teen fashion.
Ive always thought they were overrated(far from the only one). When I really looked into it, most boxing historians agree. That red K i gave your dumbass still bothers you dont it? Im going to give you another but please dont PM again with your sob story.Comment

On message boards, the "what could have been" fighters always get overrated frequently.
Aaron Pryor is immensely overrated on message boards (and also The Ring's top 80 list). He was a terrific fighter, but his demons got the best of him, and his resume isn't anything special. It's always "Leonard was scared of him, blah blah" because Leonard chose to fight guys who actually achieved something in his current weight class (or above) rather than fight a champ in a lower weight division (something fighters like Hopkins, DLH, and now PBF have been criticized for).
His 2 most notable wins were over an 100 year old Cervantes, and an Arguello who peaked 2 weight classes and 5 years before.
"Bu, bu, but Legendary Nights said Leonard ducked him!!"
Gerald McClellan is another "what could have been fighter" (nowhere near the achievements of Pryor though) who gets overrated.
A vicious puncher and good fighter whose 2 most notable wins were over a half-blind, smaller, Julian Jackson. His most notable win after that was what, a past-it John Mugabi?
Somehow, since his career tragically ended early, that often turns into
"G-Man would've KO'd Roy because he beat him as an ammy, KO'd Hopkins, Kessler, Calzaghe, etc..."Comment
