You are ridiculous with your heavy emphasis on KOs. What was Willie Pep then? And Whittaker didn't put himself at risk with something that wasn't natural to him- going for the knockout. But when he needed to he could pull it out of the bag (see: Whittaker-Hurtado).

Yeah he beat some good guys by UD but I just don't see how fans have him above other fighters that beat the same opponents or better.
I got it. al, you are still bothered that Chavez truly lost only to get a Don King paid off draw. I can tell lol.

You can't win a fight on defense, he was doing more than that.

I think currently Oscar is overrated amongst the average boxing viewer, but is rated appropriatly amongst boxing enthuisist - Zab Juddah Also - Jeff Lacy (got exposed though) Wlad (however, theres no competition in heavy weight, so he may be the greatest of all time but he'll never get the chance to prove it) - (I'm suprised no one has said mayweather jr, i don't think he's overatted, but this thread screams "bring on the haters" - I don't think you can say margaritto is overated yet, i think time will tell, that unless you throw cotto into the overated catagory and through him in there before his loss to marg. Past overrates, Tommy Morrison, Sugar Ray Robinson (he beat up on people from his own era, which is so unfair seeing how far ahead of his time he was .... I'm joking, SRR is not overated, i just thought it'd be hilarious to see his name in this thread. Ri**** Bowe - James Toney (lightweight and up) Arturu Gatti

I don't think Mugabi beat a top 10 contender in his entire career. His whole rep was based on giving an aging Hagler a tough fight.
