If Marg it overrated then it is because of his fans (which I am one of) and not because of the press which is what really matters.

With that being said I am not one which believes that Marg is unstoppable. Anyone and everyone can be stopped in this sport. It just so happens that Marg's style of fight is what I happen to like. I also admire the fact that Marg IMO has paid his dues i.e. 5 losses, waiting so long for an opportunity, being passed up, etc. etc. Some of you might not agree with me on this, since this is boxing and not MMA, but I like a fighter that brawls, mixes it up over a pure boxer who when in trouble will tend to run or tie-up. Simply putting it I like wars over stars (as in hollywood types in boxing).

Breland was a two time world welterweight champion, plus an Olympic Gold Medalist and maybe the best amateur fighter in US history (yes, better than Floyd). I would have thought after asking this question yesterday you would have had the sense to be embarrassed by your ignorance. So why are you hating on Mark Breland, Haterfree?

With 5 career losses Margarito has managed to hold alphabet titles in 1 division his entire career. He has no real amateur accomplishments. He has already been defeated by 1 of the other titleholders in the division. He is already 30 years old. But some would have us believe that he has had a greater career than future Hall of Famers like Oscar, Floyd, or even Joe Calzaghe & Roy Jones.

Is he the most overrated boxer in history. Guys like David Reid, Edison Miranda, Tommy Morrison were overrated but I think Margarito just might take 1st place.

I didn't say that Breland was better (well he was as an amateur, not as a pro). Just that he reminds me of the other inferior welterweights that Floyd didn't want to deal with.
