He could've unified. He could've stayed there longer.

I am not saying that he ducked anyone at 135, but I can't think of any other greats of a division who only fought 3 guys. Maybe Leonard at middleweight, but as his 3 opponents were Hagler, Hearns and Duran, I think that's worth more.

Even today, there is NO ONE on that level for floyd and there never has been. The closest we thought would be Judah, and that fell through before it could have been really big. Its not cotto, its not margarito, the only guys that i seriously feel are on that level are Calderon, Mijares, Hopkins, Toney and Casamayor. Those are really the only pure boxers i feel are in the game right now that have the defense and the style to make you look bad no matter what. Within the last few years, i really feel like Pure boxers are harder and harder to come by. The only one floyd might have been able to fight was Casamayor but Floyd had already moved up by then unfortunately.

True, but what I am saying is that I do not rate someone's accomplishments that highly in a division if they only fought 3 guys, and Ray Leonard is the only exception that I can think of.

I am not saying that Mayweather could've fought greats because it's true that none were in the division, but I do think that he could've done more ie. more fights and/or a unification.

Thats another thing I don't get. Why are people even comparing the two? I'm not talking accomplishments. I'm talking about FIGHTING STYLES. Do people even watch this sport anymore?

A really great fighter that is a top 50 guy. We will also remember him as a guy that he coulda been the next Leonard but failed because he didnt take on some HOF's like Cotto(i am just assuming this). Coulda been a top 15 guy.
So now he's a top 50 but if he beat Cotto, who has done nothing but beat guys floyds beat and beat up smaller guys, he would be in top 15? a dont get it?
