Fair point. But forget those fights and look at his bouts against Joppy, Allen, etc. He simply took longer to get going but when he got going...he would throw 70-80 punches per round.

Jones was throwing that many in rounds 9,10 and 11 against Hanshaw. he wasn't tired - he's been like that his whole career (not going for the KO).

Roy is deffinatly more accurate, I agree.
i cant disagree with any of that TBH because i agree 100%

Jones will more than likely give him lots of problem early on and get a few cheers from the fans when he lands with sharp flashy shots but ultimately he will slow down and Calz will take over IMO

i realise that but i thought he would have got Hanshaw out of there to make a statement but i felt he did not have the stamina to keep the preassure on him and finish i know he said after he did not wanna hurt him but i dont buy that TBH

i think we will just have to wait and see i think Jones will tire though personally ,its all good debate though

The deal is Joe is a great fighter, We all know that..The point of who he hasnt fought is why he is not regarded as one of the best fighters of our time!!! But he was willing to fight anyone, He called Hopkins out many moons ago, And Hopkins priced himself out the fight we all know that aswell, As he also knew what a high price it would cost him if he lost. What you have to ask yourself is if there has been a better boxer in Joes wieght then why the hell did he not call Calzaghe out??? The truth is that they all knew that he has a hell of alot of skill, "Not as much as Mayweather" But Joes style you can not preper for as he changes style to suit each fight and he does this very ***ing well, Mayweather and Joe are two dif fighters Mayeather likes to hit and move "A boxers style...Joe will sit right infront of you and fight "A fighters style"! I know what style I like the most. There is no running with Joe there is no backing down with Joe, I give him full props. He made the fight with Hopkins he makes every fight that hes in!! To all you true boxing fans I know you see whats infront of you when this guy fights. Peace

Here is the thread where it is posted and then discussed. The paper it names is the London Daily Mail, but there is no such thing. There is a Daily Mail but they did not have any comments like that from Calzaghe.
